Scarpa Zen Pro Mid GTX
Scarpa Zen Pro Mid GTX
For a while, I’ve been searching for that perfect hiking shoe that will do it all. With the Zen Pro Mid, I finally found my sole mate. Scarpa really knows how to make a shoe that fits right and feels good; their Sock-Fit XT technology is comfortable right from the start, and my toes are happy with a design that accommodates them perfectly. The mid height provides great support for my ankles no matter the terrain, and makes these shoes versatile enough to use when carrying some weight. I also can’t get over how light they are compared to how much support they provide. The Vibram Spyder II Soles feel stiff even though they’re pretty lightweight, and they stick like crazy to rock, giving you plenty of confidence on those scrambles to the top. With a Gore-Tex lining, these shoes will stay dry and comfortable no matter what fall throws at you. Available at Round House. $199; scarpa.com.
