Inspiring Healthy Community by Connecting People and Nature
Experience the best of outdoor recreation
Crosscut Mountain Sports Center is a year-round mountain hub providing human-powered recreation, sports training, and outdoor education for all ages, abilities, identities, and backgrounds.
Located just 17 miles north of Bozeman in the heart of the Bridger Range, Crosscut sits on 500 acres adjacent to Bridger Bowl and the Custer Gallatin National Forest. From Nordic skiing and snowshoeing to biking and hiking, we love helping folks enjoy the outdoors in every season.
As a nonprofit, Crosscut is dedicated to serving the community and stewarding our shared lands. With welcoming facilities and extraordinary trails amidst pristine natural beauty, we offer connection, solitude, and inspiration for our community and those who wish to visit.

Voluntary Summer Trail Passes
To help cover the summer operating expenses at Crosscut Mountain Sports Center, consider supporting our nonprofit organization with a voluntary trail pass. Crosscut offers 15 miles of single-track trails for mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and e-mountain biking. Additionally, our cross-country ski trails offer great hiking and add many more miles of enjoyment and exploration to our summer trail system.
Building trails, maintaining our mountain bike trails and skills park, and taking care of our property and facilities are no small task for our nonprofit organization. With trail maintenance, weed mitigation, forest health projects, incident response, and annual expenses related to land ownership, our operating costs are substantial. Please consider supporting Crosscut with a voluntary summer trail pass to help fund these costs.
Today and into the future, Crosscut seeks to embody a welcoming environment for all ages, abilities, identities, and backgrounds, while preserving the enduring vitality of the land.
Something for everyone
Our trail systems are created for year-round recreation in the beautiful Bridger Mountains. At Crosscut, skis, wheels, prosthetics, feet, snowshoes and more are all equal means to experiencing the joy of movement and exploring the outdoors — at your own pace, and in your own way.
