Summer Fun for Families

Bozeman summers are fleeting. Get out there quick, and enjoy the sun as a family.

Take a Hike. Set a goal that everyone will want to reach. Make it to the top of Drinking Horse Mountain, Hyalite Lake, or Sacajawea Peak.

Zip It! Hold your little one tight as you fly through the trees at Big Sky’s Basecamp zipline. Children ten and under are free with a paying adult on the Twin Zip. Keep your adrenaline racing with the bungee trampoline, high-ropes course, and climbing wall (bigskyresort.com/activities/summer/). Older kids can try the Yellowstone Zipline and Canopy Tours in Gallatin Canyon (yellowstonezip.com).

Strip Down. Can’t afford a beach vacation? Spread out the towel and inflate the inner tube at Bozeman’s own Glen Lake Park at the East Gallatin Recreation Area.

Learn Something New. The Museum of the Rockies, Bozeman Recreation Department, Montana Outdoor Science School, and other organizations have family-friendly programs so the whole brood can get smarter together.
