Just because temps are dropping and snow is on its way doesn’t mean you have to stop riding your bike. It just means you need some protection from the elements. I usually warm up fast and often shed layers, even as fall moves further along into winter, but one place where I always need extra protection is my hands. The White Knuckle glove from Dakine offers just the warmth I’m looking for, without being bulky and cumbersome. I still have full range of motion, but a layer of Thinsulate and a windproof shell keeps my hands toasty on frosty fall mornings. The White Knuckles are thin enough that I can still feel the bars and maintain control, but warm enough to keep me on the trail. Available at Grizzly Outfitters and Round House. $38; dakine.com.
