Review: Cloudveil Inversion Vest

Early spring fishing can do a number on your body if you aren’t dressed properly. My current jacket is great, but on those freezing-rain days you need some real core warmth. I got the Inversion Vest from Cloudveil and have been rockin’ that thing like crazy. It’s so comfortable, I could sleep in it. I actually received the jacket version a few months ago and loved the cut so much that I had to get the vest too.

This vest is cut for a woman, has a Mirage ripstop shell to deflect the elements, and the whole thing squeezes down into a grapefruit-sized stuff sack, so you can easily throw it in your pack for an extra layer. Available at Greater Yellowstone Fly Fishers, Northern Lights, and Round House. $165; cloudveil.com.
